Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Nursery and EYFS Practitioners to work in welcoming nurseries across Leicester and Leicestershire. You will support children's learning through play, help with daily routines, and observe progress within the EYFS framework.

Essential Paediatric First Aid and EYFS knowledge are required, with DBS Update Service preferred. Flexible, ongoing CPD opportunities are offered along with long‑term and permanent openings.

Qualifications

  • Paediatric First Aid is essential.
  • Sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Experience in a nursery or EYFS setting.

Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years professional looking for your next opportunity? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic Nursery and EYFS Practitioners to work within welcoming nurseries and early years settings across Leicester and Leicestershire.

The Role
  • Support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assist with personal care and daily routines where required.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Promote children's wellbeing, safeguarding, and development at all times.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification (essential).
  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred).
  • Have previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting.
  • Have a sound understanding of the EYFS Framework.
  • Are caring, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting young children.
  • Have, or are willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
