Job summary

Academics is seeking passionate Early Years Practitioners to join as supply staff across North Staffordshire, including Newcastle-under-Lyme. Roles are based on daily, short, or longer-term placements with a focus on high-quality early years education and care.

Level 2/3 EYFS qualifications are required, with Paediatric First Aid preferred. You will plan activities, track progress, and collaborate with families and colleagues to support development and safeguarding in every setting.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Academics are looking for passionate early years professionals dedicated to providing exceptional early years education and care.

We are currently seeking Level 2/3 Early Years Practitioners to join us on a supply basis. Our primary schools are based across North staffordshire and our requirements will vary from daily, short and long term possible permanent positions.

Responsibilities

• Providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children.


• Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to meet the individual needs of each child.


• Observing and assessing children's progress and maintaining accurate records.


• Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.


• Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development.


• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures at all times.

Job Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.


• Ideally a vaild Paediatric First Aid Certificate.


• A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and understanding of child development.


• Previous experience working in an early years setting is desirable but not essential.
