Job summary

Prospero Teaching invites applications for an Early Years Practitioner in Frome, Somerset. This role offers both full-time and part-time hours with competitive pay (£14.25–£16.68 per hour) and a supportive nursery environment dedicated to early development.

We are seeking individuals who can create a safe, engaging setting, support learning through play, and document progress while upholding safeguarding standards. Training and DBS checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Create a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for children.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
• Contribute to planning activities in line with EYFS.
• Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
• Has previous experience in a nursery/early years setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understands safeguarding and child welfare practices.

Available Hours

08.30‑17.30 or 09.00‑15.00 flexible on days.

The Role

• Create a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for children.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
• Has previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Understands safeguarding responsibilities and child welfare practices.
