Job summary

Lift Beacon in Loughborough is seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our supportive team and help our youngest learners thrive.

You will work with teachers to deliver engaging activities, support language and social development, and create a safe, nurturing environment across our 2-3 and 3-4 year-old provision.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification and prior nursery experience are essential; 37 hours per week, start asap.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the DfE.
• Experience in nursery or early years setting desirable.
• Able to work in a private, voluntary or independent (PVI) nursery environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children within 2-3 or 3-4 year-old Nursery provision.
• Help deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Support children's communication, language and social development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and curiosity.
• Provide individual and small-group support where required.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Support children with differing needs to participate fully in Nursery life.
