Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting an Early Years Neurodivergent Service Support Worker to join our Inclusion Team in Basingstoke. You will support pre-school children with neurodivergent profiles, including those with SEMH needs, by modelling inclusive practices and enabling access to services.

In this hybrid, part-time role you’ll work with families, early years settings and partner agencies to tailor approaches, provide training, and help children reach their potential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 health, education or social care qualification or willingness to work toward one.
• Experience with pre-school children and families, including children with SEND and neurodivergent needs.
• Good understanding of child development and inclusive practice.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice and model effective strategies for children with neurodivergent needs.
• Develop tailored approaches with families and practitioners to promote inclusion and positive outcomes.
• Facilitate joint planning with parents, offering guidance, workshops and resources.
• Raise awareness and deliver training on neurodivergent and SEMH needs.
• Support transitions and multi-agency partnership meetings.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, agencies and maintain confidential records while safeguarding.
