Job summary

Uplands Infant School in Leicester is seeking an Early Years Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team. You will support children's learning through play-based activities and assist with personal care routines.

The role is part-time, Monday to Friday 8:20am to 12:00pm during term time plus teacher days, with a temporary contract ending 09/07/2027. The successful candidate will contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment and work closely with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Relevant Early Years Level 2 qualification (DfE list).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Previous childcare experience.
• Ability to use relevant technology/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
• Provide personal care routines as appropriate for nursery aged children.
• Observe and record children’s progress to share with staff and parents.
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and wellbeing.
• Work effectively as part of the Nursery and wider school team.
