Job summary

Educators in Wales seeks two Flying Start Parenting Workers to deliver parenting support services and strengthen family relationships. You will manage caseloads, run group sessions, and provide home visits as part of a multi-agency team.

The role focuses on promoting positive parenting, safeguarding, and developing confidence in parents. Hybrid working and a strong training ethos are offered within the Flying Start framework.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Sound understanding of child development
• Experience or strong interest in supporting parents and young children
• Person-centred approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, empathetic and non-judgemental manner
• Willingness to undertake training and development

Responsibilities

• Delivering one-to-one support within family homes and community settings
• Planning, facilitating and delivering parenting programmes and family support groups
• Working collaboratively with professionals from a range of agencies
• Maintaining accurate, timely and robust records
• Supporting families with multiple complex needs
• Working independently and undertaking lone-working responsibilities
