Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council's Mansfield West Family Hub Network in Mansfield is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to deliver evidence-based interventions for preschool children and support families in home and community settings.

You will work with parents as their child’s first educators, maintain records, and help children reach developmental milestones while safeguarding. A full driving licence is required and two years’ experience with 0–5s.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience with children aged 0-5 and their families.
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child development.
• Familiarity with Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored interventions to support children's readiness for learning.
• Collaborate with families to provide early help services in various settings.
• Work alongside parents as their child's first educators, enhancing the home learning experience.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports as required.
• Support children with emerging special educational needs and disabilities.
• Communicate effectively with partners and service users to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
