Job summary

Newlyn School is seeking a warm, positive and motivated Nursery Practitioner to join our growing Early Years team. You will work with teaching colleagues to deliver high quality, play-based learning experiences that support curious, confident young learners.

We offer a 30-hour week (Mon-Fri, 8.45am-3.15pm term time only) in a nurturing environment with opportunities to lead small groups, observe progress and contribute to personalised next steps for children aged 3-5.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering play-based learning to young children.
• Calm, nurturing approach with high expectations.
• Ability to support language, literacy and numeracy development.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups and support individual children.
• Deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences.
• Collaborate with EYFS team and Nursery management.
• Observe children and track progress to inform next steps.
• Support children with additional needs where appropriate.
