Job summary

Wise Owls Childcare is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join Farm View Day Nursery in Spencers Wood. You will support learning, development and wellbeing in a nurturing, child-centred setting for ages 8 weeks to 5 years.

You will build relationships with children, families and colleagues, act as Key Person, plan engaging EYFS activities, and monitor progress with accurate learning journeys. Safeguarding is a core responsibility.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is desirable.
• Proven ability to build trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through high-quality care and education.
• Act as Key Person for a group of children, monitoring individual needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging, EYFS-aligned learning experiences.
• Observe, assess and monitor progress, maintaining learning journeys.
• Identify next steps in learning and support children's growth.
• Share achievements with parents and carers, ensuring ongoing dialogue.
• Maintain safe, inclusive environments and high safeguarding standards.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold quality and continuous improvement.
