Job summary

Wise Owls Childcare in Spencers Wood is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join Farm View Day Nursery. You will support children aged 8 weeks to 5 years in a nurturing, child-centred environment, focusing on learning, development and wellbeing.

You will build strong relationships with children and families, act as key person, plan EYFS activities, observe progress and maintain learning journeys, while safeguarding and promoting high standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator with EYFS experience.
• Experience supporting children aged 8 weeks to 5 years.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Committed to safeguarding and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are understood and supported.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
• Observe, assess and monitor children's development and progress.
• Maintain accurate learning journeys and developmental records.
• Identify next steps in learning and supporting children to achieve their full potential.
• Share children's achievements and progress with parents and carers.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional and educational development.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment and work collaboratively within a team.
• Maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding.
