Job summary

Wingate Nursery School is seeking a dedicated early years practitioner to care for a small group of 2-year-old children and contribute to journals. The role supports creating reflective environments indoors and outdoors, requiring creativity, resilience and teamwork.

The post is a full-time, temporary contract until 31 August 2027 with potential annual renewal, 37 hours per week, and is based across four school sites, including two outdoor settings. DBS clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 2-4 years.
• Ability to contribute to children's journals and learning records.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.

Temporary Contract until 31st August 2027 – with the probability of it being renewed annually

Full Time - 37 hours per week – 8am – 4pm (with additional time each week to be utilised at the end of the day, to manage duties and responsibilities – paid)

Required to start as soon as possible.

The position is for a key person to take responsibility for a small group of 2-year-old children - contributing to their journals etc.

The role is also about working together to create beautiful, reflective and provocative environments, indoors and outdoors.

Applicants must be experienced, working with children aged 2-4 yrs.

Applicants must hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
