Job summary

Wingate Nursery School in Co Durham is seeking a dedicated practitioner to oversee a small group of 2-year-old children, contributing to journals and reflective environments both indoors and outdoors.

We value creativity, resilience and stamina, with a temporary contract until 31 August 2027 and a 37-hour week. Applicants must have Early Years qualifications and strong English communication. DBS clearance required.

Qualifications

• Must be experienced working with children aged 2–4 years.
• Must hold a qualification that meets the approved Early Years criteria for staffing ratios.
• Excellent spoken English is essential for the post.

Job description

Temporary Contract until 31st August 2027 – with the probability of it being renewed annually.

Full Time - 37 hours per week - 8am – 4pm (with additional time each week to be utilised at the end of the day, to manage duties and responsibilities – paid).

Required to start as soon as possible.

The position is for a key person to take responsibility for a small group of 2-year-old children - contributing to their journals etc.

The role is also about working together to create beautiful, reflective and provocative environments, indoors and outdoors.
