Job summary

Early Years Alliance is seeking a Learning and Disabilities Practitioner to support children with disabilities and complex health needs across Grantham and surrounding areas. The role involves running targeted sessions for 0–5s and after-school/holiday activities for 5–18s, with a focus on promoting independence and self-confidence.

The post is fixed-term until 31 March 2028, 18 hours per week, and based at our Grantham services.

Qualifications

• Proven effective communication skills with professionals and families.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or complex needs.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate high-quality Early Support and Learning provision for 0–5s in Best Start centres.
• Facilitate community, youth groups and holiday sessions for 5–18s.
• Plan and deliver activities to promote self-confidence and independence.
• Assess and track progress using EHCP-related outcomes and tools (e.g., Tapestry).
• Support parents to access Local Offer and encourage peer group participation.
