Job summary

Glasgow City Council is recruiting experienced Child Development Officers for permanent roles in Glasgow. You will plan and prepare stimulating learning experiences for our youngest learners, guiding their development in line with Curriculum for Excellence and national guidance.

You will support and care for children, promoting independence and confidence, and collaborate with families as well as education, health and social care professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification such as HNC Childhood Practice (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent.
• SVQ Social Services Children and Young People (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent.
• National Nursery Examination Board certificate (NNEB) or equivalent, as required by SSSC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare stimulating learning experiences in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
• Support and care while promoting independence, competence and confidence in young learners.
• Engage with families and education, health and social care professionals as required.
