Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Early Learning and Childcare Officer to contribute to a safe, caring nursery environment and to deliver an inclusive curriculum aligned with national and local guidance.

The post is temporary for 12 months. Candidates should hold a relevant practice qualification (HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Children and Young People) and be eligible for SSSC registration; Disclosure Scotland checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in an early learning and childcare setting.
• Awareness of assessment and documentation of children's learning in line with guidance.
• Ability to plan and deliver an inclusive curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment.
• Implement and evaluate suitable activity programmes.
• Maintain and record children's assessment progress.
• Promote parental participation.
