Job summary

Glasgow Clyde College is seeking a passionate Child Development Officer for the Anniesland Campus nursery on a temporary 6-month basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care and learning experiences for children up to age five, within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, promoting safe practice, and contributing to ongoing development of the nursery service. SSSC registration and knowledge of the pre-5 curriculum are required.

Qualifications

• SCQF level 7 (HNC or equivalent) or relevant experience in a similar role.
• SSSC registration.
• Knowledge of the pre-5 curriculum.
• Experience and knowledge of collaborative working.
• Child Development skills.
• ICT literate.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care to children up to age five.
• Provide nursery care in a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high quality education and care.
• Ensure welfare and safety of the children in your care.
• Contribute toward the monitoring and development of the service.
• Plan and implement learning experiences with nursery staff team and Nursery management.
