Barnardo's is seeking an Early Years and Children's Practitioner in Nuneaton to support families through Stay & Play, groups, and one-to-one work. You will deliver activities for children aged 0-4 and primary school age, often in outreach settings across the Nuneaton and North Warwickshire area.
The role requires EYFS knowledge, a childcare qualification to at least level 2 (level 3 desirable), strong communication with parents, and IT skills.
The Warwickshire Children & Family Centre services improve the outcomes and life chances for all children, young people and their families by offering effective preventative and early intervention services, with a focus on those who are hardest to reach and are experiencing the greatest challenges in life.
We are looking to recruit, a reliable, flexible and hardworking Early Years and Children's Practitioner to support the delivery of direct services to families. The support you provide may be through one-to-one support, groups, activities, courses, and crèches. Activity sessions may involve supporting children aged 0-4 years, and primary school age children.
Working together with other team colleagues the postholder will deliver stay & plays, holiday playschemes or afterschool club type activities for children, young people and families.
Please note this is an ‘As and When’ post. Work hours offered will mainly within the hours of 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings.
Work will take place in the Nuneaton and North Warwickshire locality areas. Outreach work is a significant and regular part of the team's work, so for this reason, it is essential that candidates must have means to travel to differentwork locations.
