Interview date:Week commencing Monday 5 October 2026

Join Wiltshire Council's Education and Skills Directorate as part of the Early Years Team, supporting over 800 early years providers and schools across the South of the county.

This vital role focuses on improving leadership, teaching, and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to raise standards and close achievement gaps for vulnerable children.

As an Early Years Advisory Teacher, youwill take strategic responsibility for a designated community area, working closely with Quality Assurance Officers, the School Effectiveness Team, and the Early Years Inclusion Team.

Youwill provide hands-on support, training, and challenge to pre-schools, nurseries, childminders, and reception classes, particularly in areas of disadvantage.

We'reseeking a qualified teacher with a minimum of three years' successful experience in Early Years Foundation Stage teaching, a proven ability to raise standards and model outstanding practice, strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, assessment and national legislation, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

This role involves regular travel across Wiltshire and occasional evening/weekend training.

Make a real impact on children's early education and help shape the future of early years provision in Wiltshire.
