Akeley Wood Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant 1:1 for our Early Years team to help students with additional needs. This role offers a rewarding path for those starting or developing a career in early childhood education, including apprentices.

You will work closely with the Inclusion Lead and Class Teachers, delivering tailored support to improve academic outcomes and contribute to holistic development inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifikationen

• The ability to work and communicate effectively with young children.
• A diplomatic and tactful approach.
• Strong communication skills with teachers and parents.
• Experience in delivering pre-planned programs of work to children.
• The ability to handle sensitive situations and resolve conflicts.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for a range of audiences.
• Experience working in an educational environment.
• Experience with children who have Special Educational Needs.

Aufgaben

• Understand and support the specific needs of the student.
• Carry out specific tasks as outlined in the EHCP/Support Plan.
• Aid students in learning as effectively as possible.
• Execute duties as directed by the SENCo, Inclusion Lead, and Class Teacher.
• Promote good behavior in line with school policy.
