Job summary

OFG Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant 1:1 to join the Early Years team at Akeley Wood Junior School, Milton Keynes. This fixed-term, term-time-only role supports a student with additional needs and collaborates with the Inclusion Lead and class teachers to provide tailored provision.

You will deliver planned activities, support social and academic development, and contribute to a nurturing environment where every moment matters for the child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with young children and communicate effectively.
• Diplomatic and tactful approach when interacting with colleagues, pupils and parents.
• Experience in an educational environment and with children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support the specific needs of the student.
• Carry out duties outlined by SENCo and teaching staff to support learning.
• Promote positive behaviour following school policy and contribute to holistic development.
