Job summary

Akeley Wood Junior School in Buckinghamshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant 1:1 to support pupils with additional needs across the early years and classroom settings. The role sits within a warm, caring environment that values progression and social development.

The position is fixed-term until August 2027, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is term-time only. Training and support for professional development are offered within a nurturing team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• Ability to work and communicate with young children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• To support students with additional needs as directed by the Inclusion Lead and Class Teachers.
• Prepare and deliver appropriate provision within the teaching team to improve academic outcomes.
• To promote good behaviour in line with school policy.
