Job summary

DPD UK at Exeter Depot is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations, working closely with Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers to keep the team engaged and motivated for outstanding service.

You will lead a fast-paced operation, drive core route targets, ensure SPR goals, and manage loading, reporting, and health and safety. This role offers progression and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Set and manage all delivery & collection routes.
• Oversee drivers scanning/loading vans safely and on time.
• Maintain communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Ensure adequate resources for ad-hoc collections via drivers or couriers.
• Complete documentation and systems in line with requirements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs across Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health & Safety.
• Achieve Depot Clean targets and standards.
