Job summary

Workmate Agency is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for the AM shift in Birmingham. You will collect commercial and industrial waste across Birmingham and surrounding areas, upholding safety, professionalism and customer service.

This full-time role offers regular hours, competitive pay (£15.59 per hour), overtime after 40 hours (£19.49), on-site parking, and opportunities for long-term career progression with a growing recycling company.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC card.
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Solid knowledge of UK driving regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Collect commercial and industrial waste from customer sites.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Follow planned routes and schedules.
• Ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complete collection paperwork accurately.
• Maintain excellent customer service and represent the company.
• Report vehicle defects or incidents promptly.
• Work with transport and operations teams to meet deadlines.
