Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Early Learning & Childcare Officer on a temporary basis to contribute to a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment. The post requires planning and delivering an inclusive curriculum in line with national and local guidance.

Candidates should have experience in an early learning setting, knowledge of child development and the ability to plan, assess and record progress, with relevant qualifications such as HNC in Childhood Practice (SCQF 7)

Qualifications

• Experience of working or training in an early learning and childcare setting.
• Awareness of assessment and documentation of children's learning in line with national and local guidance.
• Ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment.
• Contribute and implement a curriculum in line with national and local guidance.
• Plan, record, implement and evaluate suitable programmes of activities.
• Maintain and record children's assessment progress and promote parental participation.
