Job summary

Glasgow Clyde College is seeking a passionate Child Development Officer for the Anniesland Campus nursery on a temporary 6-month basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care and learning experiences for children up to age five, within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, promoting safe practice, and contributing to ongoing development of the nursery service. SSSC registration and knowledge of the pre-5 curriculum are required.

Qualifications

• SCQF level 7 (HNC or equivalent) or relevant experience in a similar role.
• SSSC registration.
• Knowledge of the pre-5 curriculum.
• Experience and knowledge of collaborative working.
• Child Development skills.
• ICT literate.

• To provide a high standard of care to children up to the age of five;
• To provide nursery care for children in a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment;
• To work as part of a team to deliver high quality education and care;
• To ensure the welfare and safety of the children in your care;
• To contribute toward the monitoring and development of the service; and
• To plan and implement learning experiences in conjunction with nursery staff team and Nursery management

Requirements:

• SCQF level 7 (HNC or equivalent) relevant qualification or relevant experience in a similar role
• SSSC registration
• Knowledge of the pre-5 curriculum
• Experience and knowledge of collaborative working

Anniesland Campus - however, there may be a requirement for you to work in one of the other campuses from time to time
