Job summary

HCRG Care Group is recruiting an Early Help Administrator to support children, young people and families across Lancashire. The role handles referrals, coordinates EHA and TAF processes, and ensures smooth administration across multi-agency work, with a focus on confidentiality.

The part-time 22.5 hour week offers hybrid working with occasional travel to offices and hubs. You’ll join a dedicated team that values care, collaboration and timely, accurate information to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent administrative experience.
  • Experience in a busy administrative, secretarial, or customer service environment.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Confident written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, and Teams.
  • Assist with the administration of Early Help Assessments (EHA), Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, and SEND processes.
  • Process referrals and ensure information is recorded accurately on relevant systems, including EMIS.
  • Manage busy inboxes, triage requests, and elevate urgent concerns appropriately.
  • Coordinate and schedule TAF meetings across a range of platforms.
  • Prepare and distribute documentation, invitations, and correspondence.
  • Maintain electronic diaries and support effective communication between professionals and families.
  • Produce reports, maintain spreadsheets, and support performance reporting and audits.
  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality, record keeping, and data quality at all times.

Job Introduction

Are you an organised and compassionate administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy supporting families, working collaboratively with professionals, and ensuring no detail is overlooked?

We’re looking for an Early Help Administrator to join our dedicated Early Help Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families by helping to coordinate services, manage referrals, and ensure the smooth running of Early Help Assessment (EHA) and Team Around the Family (TAF) processes.

Every day, your work will contribute to better outcomes for families and help professionals deliver timely and effective support where it matters most.

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) worked across 4 days per week.

This role covers the whole of our Lancashire Children and Families service and offers mainly remote working with some travel to offices and hubs throughout Lancashire required.

What we're looking for
