Practice Plus Group's Health in Justice team is recruiting an Early Days in Custody Practitioner for HMP Wymott. You will support prisoners in their first days of custody, assess needs, safeguard concerns, and coordinate with prison staff and external agencies to ensure safe, appropriate care.
The role involves delivering on-site healthcare within the prison healthcare unit, providing emotional and practical support, and contributing to governance and improvement initiatives.

HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population
As a Early Days in Custody practitioner supports prisoners during their first days in custody, helping them settle safely into prison life, assessing their needs and vulnerabilities, identifying safeguarding concerns, providing emotional and practical support, and working with prison staff and other agencies to ensure appropriate care and support
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,659 per annum - depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
