Job description

Who are we?

Howden is a global insurance group with employee ownership at its heart. Together, we have pushed the boundaries of insurance. We are united by a shared passion and no-limits mindset, and our strength lies in our ability to collaborate as a powerful international team comprised of 24,000 employees spanning over 56 countries. People join Howden for many different reasons, but they stay for the same one: our culture. It’s what sets us apart, and the reason our employees have been turning down headhunters for years. Whatever your priorities – work / life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering – you’ll find like-minded people driving change at Howden.

What you'll be doing

Provide operational and administrative support across the full Early Careers portfolio, ensuring programmes, projects and key priorities remain on track. Coordinate the delivery of insight programmes, work experience initiatives, internships, graduate programmes and apprenticeships. Manage programme logistics, calendars, milestones, meetings and deadlines to ensure a seamless experience for participants and stakeholders. Create engaging and professional PowerPoint presentations, reports and stakeholder updates that communicate key insights and recommendations. Maintain programme data, trackers and reporting dashboards, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely availability of information. Support Early Careers recruitment activity, including candidate communications, interview scheduling and assessment centre preparation. Coordinate communications with candidates, schools, universities, community partners and internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve processes, templates and ways of working to support programme growth and efficiency. Support the collection, analysis and reporting of programme outcomes and impact measures. Collaborate with colleagues across Talent, HR, DE&I and the wider business to deliver high‑quality Early Careers initiatives.

What we’re looking for

Strong coordination, administration and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to quickly create high‑quality, visually engaging presentations. Strong data management, reporting and dashboarding capability. Experience managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Confident communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive and solution‑focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Passion for Early Careers, social mobility and creating opportunities for young people. Experience supporting youth, community, outreach or educational programmes would be advantageous.

What you’ll bring

Excellent planning and project coordination skills. Strong analytical mindset and confidence working with data. Ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling presentations. A positive, adaptable and growth‑oriented attitude. Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate and participant experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, helping to shape the next generation of talent while contributing to the continued success of Howden’s Early Careers strategy.

Permanent

Howden began in 1994, as just three people and a dog. Now there are 23,000 of us, and we’re a leading global insurance group, managing $37bn of premiums for our clients. Our largest shareholder group is us – the people who work in the business – supported by three long‑term, minority growth‑equity partners who share our vision to build a business to last, one that will never be sold. The owner’s mindset is something that's embedded in our culture; our people readily take ownership of their decisions, their actions, and their outputs. They’re invested in every sense. And we all know that by working together to drive the business forward, everyone will benefit from the extraordinary results we can achieve.
