Early Careers Adviser - Recruitment Specialist (FTC)

Our Talent and Development team are looking for an Early Careers Advisor – Recruitment Specialist to develop and deliver key aspects of our Early Careers attraction, selection, recruitment, and onboarding journey, as well as overseeing elements of the development programmes to provide a first-class experience for trainees and apprentices.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  1. Deliver the full early careers recruitment lifecycle in line with business needs and strategy, including Graduate, Undergraduate, Year in Industry placements, and Higher Apprenticeship programmes.
  2. Collaborate with our external recruitment partner to develop and implement processes for our annual Trainee campaign, focusing on attraction, sourcing, assessment, diversity, and social mobility.
  3. Work with our internal brand manager to design attractive advertising and social media campaigns, promote our programmes through diverse channels, and participate in emerging talent and diversity events.
  4. Manage high-volume remote assessment centres, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  5. Build strong stakeholder relationships, support assessors with hiring decisions, and ensure engagement throughout the recruitment process.
  6. Deliver onboarding networking events and Trainee Inductions (face-to-face).
  7. Represent the Wates Trainee landscape with internal and external stakeholders.

To succeed, you should be a highly motivated team player with experience in end-to-end Early Careers recruitment, graduate recruitment, or Talent Acquisition, and extensive experience managing high-volume assessment centres. Strong relationship-building, influence skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. You should also be confident in supplier engagement, management, and possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Frequent national travel, including to our head office in Leatherhead, is required.
