Academics are an education recruitment agency currently recruiting for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to support primary schools across Mansfield.

This Early Career Teacher (ECT) post can provide you with short-term, temporary classroom experience which can benefit you by providing teaching experience before securing an ongoing placement with the responsibility of planning and preparation.

This is a great way to develop your behaviour management and teaching style.

Main duties of an Early Career Teacher (ECT) working on a supply basis in Mansfield include:

• A reliable, professional and caring approach.
• Teach clearly structured lessons/sequences of work that interest and motivate students.
• Consider pupils' learning needs/abilities, differentiate work if needed, follow existing plans, and utilize classroom support where applicable.
• Share learning objectives clearly with pupils and revisit them to ensure progress is made and understood.
• Use interactive whole class or collaborative group work strategies within the lesson.
• Promote active and independent learning that enables pupils to think for themselves and manage their own learning.
• Establish a clear framework for classroom discipline and follow the school's procedures for managing behaviour that recognizes, encourages, and rewards good behaviour.
• Mark and assess pupils' work when required, using various monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupil progress towards the planned learning objectives set out by the school.
• Stay up-to-date with current educational thinking and best practices by attending relevant In-Service Education and Training when applicable and available.
