Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an EAL Teaching Assistant for a diverse and inclusive secondary school in South Gloucestershire. The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week during term time plus INSET days, supporting students to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while working with teaching staff to tailor lessons to individual needs.

• A patient, empathetic and inclusive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The school is looking to appoint an EAL Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis, working 32.5 hours per week during term time plus INSET days. The successful EAL Teaching Assistant will support students through classroom activities and targeted interventions, helping to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills while working closely with teaching staff to adapt learning to individual needs.

The successful EAL Teaching Assistant will have:
