Our client, a private equity-backed real estate firm based in Mayfair, is seeking a finalist-level management accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) to join their team as a finance business partner. The role involves producing full sets of management accounts and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for multiple business units, consolidating financial plans into a cohesive master budget.
- Deliver in-depth financial analysis, including historical performance reviews, competitor benchmarking, and market trend assessments, providing senior management with clear, actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and long-term business projections.
- Own the monthly management reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting with meaningful variance analysis.
- Perform variance analysis on budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers, explaining discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.
- Evaluate new and existing projects, investments, and business opportunities, assessing financial viability and strategic alignment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to commercial stakeholders, including regional FDs and the Head of FP&A, translating financial data into strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Support the Head of FP&A with strategic projects, financial presentations, and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Profile:
- A driven, ambitious individual eager to advance within a fast-growing, global organization.
- Proven academic achievement.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, CIMA).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling expertise.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage large data sets, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
- Familiarity with private equity environments and strong systems aptitude.
