Job description

What We Are Looking For

Role: Financial Reporting Accountant – reporting to Financial Reporting Manager

Purpose: The Financial Reporting Accountant is a new role within the rapidly expanding Rheinmetall Vehicle Systems International (VSI) division, headquartered in Bristol. VSI was established in late 2023 and consolidates Rheinmetall's land-based vehicle systems operations in the UK, USA, and Australia.

Scope

Consolidating VSI financial data for Rheinmetall group reporting and providing financial insights to support senior management decision-making.

Key Tasks and Activities:

• Monthly reporting under IFRS
• Inter-company consolidation of financial information for the division
• Coordination of monthly cash flow reporting and analysis
• Support the annual budget process and in-year forecasts
• Provide support to senior management, including business analysis, strategic oversight, and project management
• Financial analysis and reporting on long-term customer contracts
• Regular interfaces with central functions such as accounting, treasury, and controlling at Rheinmetall group headquarters, as well as operational finance teams in VSI’s UK, US, and Australian entities. Also, interface with operational VSI functions and senior leadership.

• Ability to prepare and present complex financial and operational information clearly
• Strong financial analytical experience
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Confident presentation skills for senior management
• Attention to detail, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and execution focus
• Proactive, positive attitude with a business partnering approach to develop internal and external relationships
