Job description

Due to contract expansion, we are looking for an Electrician to join our team as an Electrical Tester within the Kitchens and Bathrooms team.

Your responsibilities will include visiting void and domestic properties on Day 1 to conduct initial electrical checks and ensure safety for ongoing works. You will revisit on Day 6 to sign off the electrical works after the trades team have completed their tasks, tidy up the works, and close off plug sockets.

The role involves a mix of on-site inspections and office-based work to complete paperwork and sign off.

You must have experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations. You should also have the knowledge to install, repair, inspect, and test electrical installations, and to accurately fill in Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports.

Role Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• City & Guilds 18th Edition
• Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent (beneficial but not essential)

Experience in domestic and/or social housing is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

• Entitlement to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
• To drive a Mears vehicle: over 21 years old, held license for over 3 months, less than 9 points
• Subject to DBS/Security checks before employment
