Job description

Duties of a Transport Clerk:

1. Schedule Deliveries – Plan and assign delivery routes and times.
2. Prepare Documentation – Create delivery notes, manifests, and invoices.
3. Track Shipments – Monitor vehicle locations and delivery progress.
4. Handle Paperwork – Maintain transport logs, compliance records, and reports.
5. Coordinate with Drivers – Communicate instructions, delays, or changes.
6. Check Vehicle Availability – Ensure vehicles are ready and roadworthy.
7. Report Issues – Log and escalate transport delays or vehicle breakdowns.
