Our client is seeking an experienced finance professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and growing SME, based in Worcester. This company is a specialist B2B service provider and is seeking a Finance Director to oversee all financial and accounting activities. This is a hands-on role, offering the chance to shape financial strategy, optimise processes, and work closely with senior management to drive informed decision-making.

As the sole finance professional within the organisation, the Finance Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, delivering financial insights, and supporting the company's ambitious growth plans. This position is ideally suited to someone seeking a fast-paced environment and a fully rounded finance leadership role, with scope to get involved in wider business operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations, including P&L, balance sheet, payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and the general ledger.
2. Prepare and present monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
3. Manage annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
4. Ensure compliance with corporate and tax regulations (HMRC) and maintain robust internal controls.
5. Analyse financial data to identify trends, provide strategic insights, and support senior management with financial planning.

Skills and Attributes Required:

1. Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
2. Experience in a dynamic SME environment, ideally within a B2B service environment such as logistics, supply chain, or wholesale retail.
3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
4. Proficiency in financial software, including VT Software and web-based financial management tools.
5. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.

What's On Offer:

£75,000 - £85,000 + bonus

This is an on-site role, based in Worcester.
