Job description

Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Location: Nottingham, NG2 1RX

Working hours: 40 per week

Shift: Rotating shifts

Week 1: 06:00-14:30 Mon-Fri

Week 2: 12:30-21:00 Mon-Fri

Flexible hours can be considered for the right candidate.

Salary: Base pay of £20.77 per hour, with premiums for hours worked between 7pm-10pm (£2.23/hr) and 10pm-6am (£2.70/hr).

What You Will Be Doing

• Performing service and repairs on the company fleet according to scheduled maintenance to ensure vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and operational.
• Completing service and inspection records.
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
• Carrying out ad-hoc repairs, investigating, and fixing vehicle defects.

What Do You Bring With You

• Relevant vocational training and licenses, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
• Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
• Experience with welding and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driving license.
