Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Location: Leicester, LE4 1ET

Working hours: 40 per week

Shift: Rotating shifts

Week 1: 06:00-14:30 Mon-Fri

Week 2: 12:30-21:00 Mon-Fri

Flexible hours can be considered for the right candidate.

Salary: Base pay £20.77 per hour. Premium paid for hours worked between 7pm - 10pm (£2.23 per hour), and 10pm - 6am (£2.70 per hour).

What You Will Be Doing

• Performing service and repair of the company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and fit for duties.
• Completing signed service and inspection records.
• Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
• Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating, and rectifying vehicle defects.

What Do You Bring With You

• Your skill and applicable licenses from vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one).
• Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components.
• Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driving license.
