We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician at our Nottingham VMU.

Working hours: 40 per week
Shift: Rotating shifts
Week 1: 06:00-14:30 Mon-Fri
Week 2: 12:30-21:00 Mon-Fri
Flexible hours can be considered for the right candidate.

Salary: Base pay £20.77 per hour. Premiums paid for hours worked between 7pm - 10pm (£2.23 per hour), and 10pm - 6am (£2.70 per hour).

What you will be doing:

• Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and fit for duties
• Completing service and inspection records
• Completing defect reports and paperwork to comply with legal requirements
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass
• Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating, and rectifying defects

What do you bring with you:

• Vocational licenses such as LGV C&E license (class one)
• Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting tools
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle components
• Experience with welding and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Valid driving license
