The Clinical Lecturer will join the Institute of Education for Medical and Dental Sciences as part of a team supporting the MBChB and other healthcare programmes. This is a part-time position (up to 0.8FTE, minimum 0.4FTE). We welcome applications from candidates interested in medical education who also wish to maintain or develop separate clinical commitments. Working days are negotiable, but part-time applicants are expected to work either Monday or Friday. The role is based in the Clinical Skills Centre at the Suttie Centre for Teaching and Learning in Healthcare, Foresterhill site.
The post involves supporting high-quality undergraduate clinical education in simulated environments, the Clinical Skills Centre, other teaching facilities, and clinical settings. You will join a multi-professional team led by the Director and Manager of the Clinical Skills Centre, responsible for delivering innovative learning experiences for healthcare students. The appointee will be managed by the Undergraduate Clinical Skills Lead, reporting to the Director of the Institute for Education in Medical and Dental Sciences.
Salary is on the Clinical scale for Academics below Consultant level, ranging from £48,288 to £85,402 per annum, pro-rata, depending on clinical experience.
