Compensation Range: $89,093.00 - $111,366.00

Job Summary

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, your role is to support the day-to-day operations within the Value Stream.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support manufacturing operations daily.
  2. Develop and document Manufacturing Standard Work Instructions and oversee their implementation.
  3. Develop process improvements to reduce defects and increase throughput.
  4. Ensure process robustness using control measures like SPC and Cpk.
  5. Lead problem-solving projects related to manufacturing issues, aiming for yield improvement.
  6. Maintain manufacturing documentation for configuration control and Point of Introduction activities.
  7. Support Concessions / MRB processes and lead efforts to eliminate customer escapes through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  8. Ensure compliance with productivity improvements within the process.
  9. Manage small capital and tooling projects.
  10. Coordinate process, cost, and defect reduction projects using Lean, Process Validation, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem Solving techniques.
  11. Participate in risk assessments and support related actions.
  12. Build strong relationships within the team and cross-functional partners to support business goals.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing). Associates degree plus 4 years of experience may substitute.
  • At least 3 years in a manufacturing engineering environment with knowledge of statistical process controls, mechanical drawings, tool design, and machinery troubleshooting.
  • US Citizenship required for compliance with ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with concessions / MRB and supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques like 5 Why’s, 8D, DMAIC.
  • Experience in process control and lean tools in production, especially in glass processing or laminating industries.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.
  • Strong communication, reporting skills, and organizational flexibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
