Compensation Data

Compensation Range: $89,093.00 - $111,366.00

Job Summary

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will report to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer and support the day-to-day operations within the Value Stream.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to manufacturing operations daily.
  2. Develop and document Manufacturing Standard Work Instructions and ensure their implementation.
  3. Develop manufacturing process improvements to reduce defects and increase throughput.
  4. Focus on process robustness using control measures (SPC / Cpk).
  5. Lead problem-solving projects related to manufacturing issues to improve yield.
  6. Update manufacturing documentation to maintain configuration control and manage Point of Introduction activities.
  7. Support Concessions / MRB processes and lead improvements to eliminate customer escapes using root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  8. Ensure process compliance and implement productivity improvements.
  9. Manage small capital and tooling projects within the value stream.
  10. Coordinate process improvement, cost reduction, and defect reduction projects using Lean Manufacturing, Process Validation, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem Solving techniques.
  11. Participate in risk assessments and support related actions.
  12. Build internal relationships to support business objectives.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering; or Associates degree with 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 3 years in a manufacturing engineering environment with knowledge of SPC, mechanical drawings, tool design, and machinery troubleshooting.
  • US Citizenship required for compliance with ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with concessions / MRB support and manufacturing operations.
  • Problem-solving skills using techniques like 5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC.
  • Experience in process control and lean tools in a production environment.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills, ability to lead at all levels, flexible approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
  • Experience with customer specifications, standards, and glass processing industry.
