Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic nursing assistant to join the West of Scotland Regional Heart & Lung Cardiology nursing team at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, supporting the Interventional Cardiology service.

Role Overview

The nursing team provides patient care within interventional cardiology and CCU wards, alongside the Cath Labs and associated Day Wards. This is a busy, demanding, and rewarding environment, caring for patients undergoing coronary, structural heart, adult congenital, and electrophysiology procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent teamwork experience with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive approach and the ability to work effectively within a busy team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to adapt to the diverse and variable demands of caring for patients in the Coronary Care Unit.
• Availability to work 12-hour rotational shifts across a full week.

Work Environment and Opportunities

Opportunities to work across the Interventional Cardiology Department, including Cardiology Wards, Cath Labs, and the Day Unit. Shifts will be rostered across 24/7 days and nights.
