About The Role

In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.

By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people. We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team. Whether providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our focus is on delivering the highest quality service at all times.

As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll be responsible for the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of our residents. This includes assisting with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, and helping with meals.

You will deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents retain their dignity and individuality. Your involvement may include helping those with limited mobility, offering emotional support, or providing end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training.

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word; it's a core belief. We support residents to lead their best possible lives by caring about what matters most to them.

Our team embodies five key qualities: curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and reliability, which we call Kindness the HC-One Way. We foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and can be themselves.

We are committed to developing our staff through career pathways, CPD, and postgraduate programs, offering opportunities for progression into regional and national roles.

Benefits

We provide full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being, including:

  • Great work-life balance
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Free uniform
  • Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Group life assurance
  • Wagestream for flexible pay access
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • GP online service for you and your children
  • Colleague discounts and wellbeing support
  • Recognition schemes and a refer-a-friend bonus scheme up to £1000

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and aim for a quick onboarding process with full support.
