Position Summary

The Business Development Manager - Data Strategy and Governance play a crucial role in nurturing and expanding long-term customer relationships with leading life science and pharmaceutical companies. In this dynamic position, you will drive the sales of tailored services acrossin data & IT strategy, data governance, lab informatics and advanced analytics. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure. Your strategic approach will be key in developing and executing successful sales strategies while representing Cencora at industry conferences and events.

Key Activities

  • Support of our customers from large life science and pharmaceutical companies
  • Responsible for the independent development and expansion of long-term customer relationships
  • Sales of customized services in the areas of IT and Business consulting or software development
  • You control the sales processes, from lead generation to contract closure
  • The development and successful implementation of sales strategies
  • You represent our company at conferences and events
  • Maintenance and documentation of opportunities in the CRM system

Required Skills & Experience
  • You have experience in the field of life science, computer science or a comparable degree
  • Experience in selling consulting services and software development projects
  • Several years of experience in managing customer requirements and the sales cycle
  • You are interested in familiarizing yourself with the following topics: Data & IT Strategy, Data Governance, Lab Informatics and Advanced Analytics
  • Experience in the life science and pharmaceutical industry is beneficial
  • Fluent in English, additional European language skills would be an asset
  • You are willing to travel
