Job Opportunity: Maths and English Tutor in Chatham

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Tutor in or around Chatham to provide tailored tuition sessions for students currently out of school, who need additional support with the Maths and English curriculum.

As a Tutor, your responsibilities include creating, planning, and delivering 1:1 lessons to help bridge gaps in students' education, increase engagement, and improve attainment levels. Your goal is to assist students in reaching the grades necessary for further education. This role is ideal for experienced teachers seeking to move away from traditional classroom settings to offer more personalized and engaging lessons.

Many pupils may have been out of education for some time, resulting in low confidence levels. It is your responsibility to re-engage them in learning and help restore structure to their daily routines.

Prospero Teaching will collaborate with you to monitor each pupil's progress and support effective learning.

Contract/Position Details

1. Location: Chatham
2. Position: Maths and English Tutor

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

1. QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent
2. At least 6 months of experience working in a UK school
3. Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential)

• Right to Work in the UK
• An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
• Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
