Who You'll Work With

We are experiencing tremendous growth and have an immediate need for a self-motivated Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer to provide technical support for customers and prospects in the United Kingdom.

The Systems Engineer is a key part of the Arista Sales team. The main responsibility is acting as a trusted advisor to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and design solutions.

What You'll Do

• Partner with Account Managers to understand customer challenges and conduct network architecture sessions and product presentations.
• Design and propose Data Center, Routing & Campus network, and security solutions.
• Perform customer proof-of-concepts and network deployments.
• Create design guidelines and recommend network improvements.
• Lead responses to RFP/RFQs.
• Manage customer feature requests from requirements to deployment.
• Provide feedback to Product Management.
• Represent Arista at industry events.
• Stay updated on competitors and industry solutions.
• Author technical white papers, blogs, and articles.

Qualifications

• Currently holds or can obtain DV clearance within 12 months; preference for those with DV clearance.
• Motivated, proactive, flexible team player willing to step out of comfort zone.
• Fluent in English.
• Sales-oriented with a passion for driving new business.
• Willing to travel within the country or nearby regions.
• Technical degree required.
• Experience in network design and implementation.
• Practical routing and switching experience, including protocols.
• Experience with Data Center, Routing, or Campus network architectures.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Deep knowledge of switching/routing protocols (e.g., Spanning Tree, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, QoS).
• Knowledge of Service Provider and Campus technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of the competitive landscape.
• Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar role preferred.
• Security deployment experience is a plus.
• Hands-on CLI experience highly desired.
• Interest in Netops / Devops with Python, Ansible.
• Certifications like CCIE, JNCIE, or industry equivalent preferred.
