We are currently seeking to recruit a Cafe Supervisor to join our team at Belford Hospital. This role involves promoting and merchandising our retail offer, serving baked goods and beverages to colleagues, patients, and visitors, and ensuring high standards of service and customer experience.
The Cafe Supervisor will oversee the dining room, café, and vending areas within the hospital. They should be capable of managing high volumes while maintaining quality and service standards. The role requires team management skills, motivation, leading by example, and a 'can do' attitude. Ensuring prompt service, quality products, and a friendly, clean environment is essential. Knowledge of business management, including stock and cost control, is also necessary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness, complying with infection control policies, Covid-19 guidance, NHS Scotland Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations.
Additional responsibilities include covering hospitality roles during planned functions outside business hours and providing support at other NHS sites in North West Highland when needed. They will also ensure compliance with cleaning schedules and promote high cleanliness standards.
Catering duties involve preparing, presenting, and merchandising retail products, including seasonal items.
This is a full-time position during weekdays (Monday to Friday). We offer comprehensive induction and training.
Rate of pay starts from £13.93 an hour with attractive weekend working rates.
