Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Project Management Officer on an initial contract till the end of the year. As a Project Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of projects across the organisation.

Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week, 7 months

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are supported with strong Project Management expertise and that appropriate Project & Programme Management structures, governance, and practices are applied.
• Collaborate with manufacturing project leaders and the project organization on a day-to-day basis.
• Enhance understanding and acceptance of best practice project management within the ME teams through coaching and awareness sessions, challenging project leaders as needed.
• Shape methods and tools in accordance with PM standards tailored to project needs.
• Support effective communication and stakeholder management, ensuring activities are aligned with interfacing projects and operations.
• Promote Agile ways of working and act as Scrum Master for project activities when necessary.
• Establish end-to-end project plans and control all changes against the initial baseline.
• Identify associated Earned Value Management (EVM) milestones and project critical paths.
• Track performance versus plan throughout the project lifecycle, analyze project data to anticipate deviations, and propose preventive or corrective actions. Provide regular and clear reports across all project phases.
• Drive the Risk & Opportunity Management process in line with the existing R&O plan.
• Manage the R&O register and regularly update the Project Leader.
• Work jointly with Finance to compare incurred costs and time spent against current plans.
• Prepare and publish reports as required, define and deliver relevant KPIs and dashboards for performance management, and contribute to team reviews and project management reviews (PRM, operational meetings, etc.).

Essential Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience as a PMO
• Ability to support a project leader effectively
• Dynamic, IT-savvy, and adaptable
• Understanding of tools and governance
• Ability to advise project leaders on upcoming risks and mitigations
